**If you want you can upload the activities that students make in this teaching unit about the jungle in the blog of the school.
After the introduction the teacher can ask to the students some questions, for example: 1. Have you ever been in a green and big jungle? 2. Have you ever watched "The jungle book"? Can you explain the film? 3. Do you know who lives in the jungle? 4. Do you know the name of any jungle? Where are the jungles? After the little debate the teacher have to show the video of the song "Bare necessities" (you can find the link in "Resources and materials"). After watching the video the students will work in groups of four or five members and will make a word cloud with the ideas of the debat in class. After that, the class can sing the song "Bare necessities" with the lyrics (you can find the link of the video in "Resources and materials"). Task preparation: After watching the video and sing like a karoke, the teacher will tell the story about the animals of the jungle with the objective that the students can take ideas about the animals who live in the jungle and then, they can start preparing the orals presentations that they will do in Session 3 (you can find the story in the "Story" section). The teacher can use power point about the story. Here will finish the session 1. Task realisation:
In this part starts the Session 2. The teacher will start the class remembering what they have done in Session 1. After that, the teacher will give or project it in class a map of the main important jungles in the world. The teacher will ask to the studens some questions such as:
1. Do you know the name of any jungle? 2. Do you know where are situated the jungles in the world? 3. Can you indicate where are the jungles in this map? 4. Can you tell something about the jungles?
After that, the teacher will project the map with the names of the most important jungles in the world (you can find the two maps in "Resources and materials").
When this activity is over, the students will work in groups and with the ideas of the last sessions, they will have to choose an animal of the jungle. The teacher will give to the groups of students a model of paper with some questions that they have to know about the animal chosen (you can find this model in "Resources and materials"). The students will have to search information on the Internet and encyclopedias about their animal and prepare their oral presentations of the Session 3 (they will have aproximately 40 minutes of the session 2 to make the research). The teacher will give to students some interesting links to make their research (you can find the webs in "Resources and materials"). Here will finish Session 2 and will start Session 3.
In Session 3 before doing the oral presentations, the teacher will ask them to make a rubric of assessement. The teacher will give to his/her students a model of rubric that the students will have to complete with the criteria that they think that the teacher have to avaluate them (you can find the model in "Resources and materials"). After doing the rubrics, the students will have to make their oral presentations. The students can use the projector or make a mural with Glogster. The classmates and the teacher will avaluate every group with the rubrics that they have done before the oral presentations. The teacher will also avaluate other criteria (You can consult the "Assessement" section).
Post task: Finally, at the end of the Session 3 and after doing the presentations, the teacher will give to the students a model of paper that the students will have to complete. In this paper, the students have to write which animal they have liked the most, the reason and draw it. In this activity, the teacher and the students can decide if they want to make a handmade mural or do it interactively on Glogster. Also, the teacher can put the mural on the wall of the class.
